Winslows Wine Cafe is a great place to go and get brunch on the weekends. Located on Camp Bowie Boulevard this restaurant is a nice getaway in the middle of Fort Worth. I have previously written about Winslows Wine Cafe as a great place to get a mimosa (which it is) but there is so much more to this restaurant than just the mimosas.
After you have ordered your bottomless mimosa, you can browse the incredible options that exist on their brunch menu. One thing that makes this so good to me is that they have my favorite brunch food. The menu contains an incredible chicken and waffle’s. Lightly crusted chicken is still incredibly juicy on a big fluffy waffle with a homemade maple bourbon glaze. I wish that I could tell you what the difference between this glaze and a syrup is. To me it was just a fancy word for an infused syrup. Regardless it was incredibly tasty!
In addition to the chicken and waffles, we tried the brisket hash thanks to my wife. Thank goodness she doesn’t eat very much so I was able to try some. Sauteed onions, a poached egg, and smoked brisket combined together to create this brunch beauty.
Although we had these incredible dishes, I have to admit that another item stole the show. No, not the mimosas. We walked away raving about the jalapeno biscuits. These biscuits were so fluffy yet crispy on the outside that it was incredible. The jalapeno aspect of the biscuits doesn’t make them spicy but it gives the Winslows Wine Cafe biscuits a new element of just an essence of the jalapeno flavoring.
If you are looking for a brunch that has a nice fancy element to spoil yourself one weekend, Winslows Wine Cafe is the place for you! There you have it Fort Worth! Get on out there and eat it!
