Eddie V’s Prime Seafood

eddie v'sEveryone has that restaurant that coms to their mind when they have the thought “I really want to go somewhere nice.” Eddie V’s is that for me. Every time I get to go here it is an absolute treat.

Eddie V’s is definitely known for their seafood. A popular favorite for me are the oysters. A large tray of oysters with what they refer to as “Atomic Horseradish” makes for an appetizer that could cause grown men to cry. Word of caution: Dont go overboard on the horseradish. While it is delicious, it is aptly named.

When I went here, there was a special going on that made me question Eddie V’s seafood specialty. I ordered a Tomahawk steak and let me tell you I have a new favorite place to get a good quality steak.

Once my tomahawk steak left the kitchen, you could why it is named as such. The steak had a giant bone about the size of my forearm sticking out of it! Made me feel like I had just been transported into the Flintstones and this steak was about to tip over the Flintstones car at the drive thru.

Right off the bat, the steak had my attention more than usual. As it was placed in front of me you could smell the butter that seared the steak and the pepper that was used to add in the flavor. Please excuse me while I take a moment to go back to that memory……..

Ok I’m back. After enjoying the smell, I sliced into my steak and get my first taste. The meat was fantastic, the juices were seared into the steak, and it seemed to just dissolve in my mouth. Despite the enormity of the steak, I forced myself to carry on. I had to take advantage of this moment. Driven by the quality of the meat and the taste of my meal I was able to conquer the delicious steak.

Eddie V’s has forever won over my heart with that meal. No longer will I see it as only a seafood restaurant.

I’m in Fort Worth and need…
